On June 13---I'll be sampling from master sommelier, George Miliote's "Drink Them Before They're Famous" wine list, paired perfectly with select menu items!

I've had *no* time to blog--some designer mutt has been consuming ALL of my time....but I wouldn't have it any other way....

It's been a long journey

And they called it....

I lived up to my inner dork, and planned a puppy shower in honor of The Murphster's homecoming....and I must admit, it was fabulous.....

I scoured the internet for ideas but to no avail--everything I read was cheesy so I was left to my own devices.......the theme was.....you guessed it.... "Puppy Love"

I printed up pictures and framed and matted, adorned with a blue bow because 

we picked the puppy with the "blue" collar from the litter

Made a pink lemonade Forever Home, <3 Love Cake

(the breeder calls it a "forever home" when her pups leave to go to their new homes)

I made my very own candy lollypops, which went home in the human party favor "doggie bag"...filled with frosted scooby snack dog bones and "It's A Boy" mints....

There were also canine favors--edible party doggy treats and one canine favor treat for "Worm"--my brother & sis-in-law's (soon to be) 3 legged cat

Made some Human dog treats & "People" Chow

(peanut butter melted candy coated with cocoa puffs--looked just like dog food! and served in the dog dishes I would later use for Murphy)

and probably the best time was when i put the people puppy chow in to 5 dog dishes, next to 5 water dishes and let austin and skyler compete against his uncles and cousin for who could finish first (no hands), while I played "who let the dogs out") 

I also made these trophies (bought the ceramic dog statues and the plastic trophies at the dollar store, then hot glued them together)

The other game we played was I let Skyler hide a bunch of real dog bones out in the bag yard--then handed everyone a brown paper bag, on one side I wrote "Snakes & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails" and on the other side I wrote "Doggie Bag" 

....then told everyone that had until "Trinco Dog" by Bedouin Soundclash finished playing to find as many bones as they could.....which also served as another favor for them to take home to their dog AND

winner won this lovely "FETCH" trophy

Everyone Had a BLAST!

Woke up

Feeling kinda crappy....gonna have to Trade the concert for a cozy night in :( So tht I feel well enough to pick up My 3rd child!!!!! The Murphster comes home tomorrow!!!!
